As the world's first true electric vehicle with extended range, the four-passenger saloon has a total range of 483km, capable of traveling 80 km on emission-free electric power alone, and an additional 403 km on low-emission hybrid electric power.
Deliveries to Chinese customers can be expected to take place in the next fall.
The company has received about 3,000 pre-orders for the product from customers around the world. It plans to sell 15,000 vehicles per year globally.
