Huaneng Power says chairman resigns

Huaneng Power International Inc said on Tuesday that its chairman, Li Xiaopeng has resigned.

Huaneng Power Vice Chairman Huang Yongda will serve as acting chairman until a new chairman is elected, the company said in a statement.

The company did not say why Li had resigned, but it added that Li had no disagreement with the company and that he was not aware of any matter relating to his resignation that needed to be brought to shareholders' attention.
