China's industrial added value up 15.4% in first two months

The added value of China's industrial enterprises with annual main business earnings exceeding five million yuan ($704,424) each increased by 15.4 percent in the first two months of this year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced on Thursday.

The added value of ferrous metals smelting and processing industry rose 14 percent in the first two months, 5.4 percentage points lower than that in December.

The textile and chemical industries experienced slower growth with the added value climbing 11.6 percent and 13.3 percent respectively.
