China 2007 fiscal revenue projected at 5 trillion yuan

China's 2007 fiscal revenue is projected at 5 trillion yuan (US$675.74 billion), the Shanghai Securities News reported, citing Yao Jingyuan, chief economist of the National Bureau of Statistics.

Yao said that in the three quarters to September, fiscal revenue rose 31.4 percent year-on-year. He did not provide absolute figures.

Eight months to August fiscal revenue growth was earlier reported at 30.2 percent year-on-year to 3.48 trillion yuan.

The government has a 2007 fiscal revenue target of 4.4 trillion yuan, which would represent a rise of 13.8 percent.
