Nine overseas tourism experts and 11 others from the mainland will gather for a seminar in Shenzhen next week to offer suggestions on local tourism.

The seminar, scheduled to be held from Wednesday to Friday, is the first high-level international tourism seminar on the mainland.

"We have very successful theme parks in the city," said Li Xiaogan, head of the Shenzhen Tourism Bureau on Thursday. "But we face the challenge of attracting overseas tourists who are willing to stay longer here."
