Twenty couples were married at a collective wedding ceremony on May Day in Wuhan, the capital of central China's Hubei province.

The ceremony on May 1 was a statement about the importance of low-carbon lifestyles. The "low-carbon wedding" was decorated simply; the couples planted trees and rode bicycles by the Changjiang riverside.
