Dandong port hits annual figure of 100m tons

Dandong port's annual cargo throughput exceeded 100 million metric tons on Friday.

Located at the eastern end of the Bohai economic belt in Liaoning province, it is China's northernmost international trading port.

In the past three years, the port has invested more than 10 billion yuan ($1.64 billion) in berth construction, opening ship routes, and support facilities.

The berths for grain, general cargo, ore, among other goods, have an annual throughput capacity of 200 million metric tons.
