BEIJING -- Beijing now has more international brand stores than any other city in the world, according to an in-depth survey on Beijing's retail market released by CB Richard Ellis Limited, the world's largest commercial real estate services firm.
The report showed that Beijing is one of the most mature retail markets in China with more than 7 million square meters of stock.
Chen Hongfei, director of Global Research (China) at CB Richard Ellis Limited, said Beijing's retail market has experienced a peak in supply for the last seven years. However, a change of distribution model made supply more equal.
"The primary trading area accounts for 32.5 percent of the market share, but it will occupy more than a 50 percent share in the future."
