Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli will deliver a keynote speech at the 2013 Fortune Global Forum, which will be held in Chengdu from June 6 to 8, organizers said on Thursday.
This will be the fourth time the forum is held in a Chinese city, the previous three being Shanghai in 1999, Hong Kong in 2001, and Beijing in 2005.
The 2013 forum is expected to gather more than 600 senior government officials, leading entrepreneurs and experts from around the world, some of who will meet Premier Li Keqiang during their stay in Beijing, said Wu Hongjian, an official with the State Council’s Information Office.
President Xi Jinping will also send a congratulatory letter to the forum, said Wu.
