Ericsson wins 3G order from China Unicom

Telecom equipment maker Ericsson said on Friday it had signed contracts with China Unicom to build 3G networks in 15 provinces in China.

Ericsson, the world's biggest mobile network maker, said in a statement it had also been selected by China Unicom to upgrade its GSM networks for 2G/3G support in 10 provinces.

It did not provide details on the size of the deal.
