Shares close slightly higher in morning session

Updated: 2008-12-02 10:07 Chinese share prices climbed by a slightly 0.1 percent in the morning session on Tuesday, despite a Wall Street plunge overnight. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was up 1 point, or 0.1 percent, from the previous close to end the morning session at 1,896 points. The Shenzhen Component Index finished at 6,851 points, up 87 points, or 1.29 percent.
