Beijing Capital Airlines has rolled out a new thrice weekly service between Vancouver and Hangzhou, via the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, giving residents in the two Chinese cities easy access to the key hub city in Canada.
The new international route was formally kicked off on Dec 30 with a flight by an Airbus A330 wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft.
Flights are scheduled to depart Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport at 2:15 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. After a stop at Qingdao Liuting International Airport, the non-stop flight to Vancouver leaves at 6:05 pm, arriving at 1:15 pm.
According to Xu Xin, chairman of Capital Airlines, Vancouver is the airline's first North American destination and the new Vancouver–Qingdao–Hangzhou route will provide more choices and convenience for travelers and further strengthen economic and cultural ties between Canada and China. The airline is striving to be a leading brand in the international tourism and air travel industry.
