During their 33 days in orbit the two astronauts of the Shenzhou-11 had a remote reunion with their families courtesy of the first space VR glasses created by the Astronaut Center of China and Beijing Institute of Technology.
The VR glasses were designed to help the astronauts feel relaxed as they carried out their vital space missions.
The helmet glasses are embedded with display modules, earphones and charging elements which create panoramic videos through VR technology. They have sensors to detect head poses to adjust the views.
Psychologists provided various test scenes including mountains, rivers, and family parties designed to eliminate any negative emotions the astronauts might feel.
