The Bureau of Landscape and Forestry of Haidian District recently announced at the People's Political Consultative Conference that Haidian will keep improving its ecological system of mountains, rivers, lakes and forests. It plans to expand green areas and enhance green quality to transform and upgrade its urban landscape.
The bureau also summarized the district's landscaping achievements during the 12th Five-Year Plan, which include completing 10,225 square meters' afforestation, establishing several forest parks and further developing special landscaping roads.
Additionally, eco-technology integrated demonstrations offering technological support for landscaping and the first bird banding workstation in Beijing, a part of park cultural brand construction, were established in the district in the past few years.
