Yang Ping, the deputy secretary-general with the Translation Association of China, the hosts of the conference, said this is the first time the translation sector will hold a conference at the Beijing Fair. The fair will connect the language translation sector and the intellectual property sector, according to Yang. Cooperation between enterprises in the two sectors can also be promoted, Yang added.

China Wisdom Services Summit and China International Software and Information Services Enterprises Conference will be launched on May 30 concurrently with the Beijing Fair.

The event, focusing on services in the outsourcing industry, will be an important part of the Beijing fair. Businesses from information services, commercial circulation and the online to offline sectors will gather at the fair to discuss how to use new information technologies, such as big data, mobile internet, social networks and cloud calculation, to provide better services for businesses’ customers, organizers said.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, Chinese enterprises signed contracts worth 2.7 billion yuan in the first four months of 2016, marking an increase of 23.9 percent year-on-year. The increase was driven in part by heightened levels of innovation.

The integration of Information Technology outsourcing with traditional outsourcing services sectors, such as commercial circulation, logistics, catering, health and entertainment, has been accelerated, according to Li Jin, secretary general with the Beijing Association for Outsourcing Services.
