In addition, a forum that aims to encourage more domestic convention and exhibition enterprises to develop their overseas business strategies will be held at this year’s Beijing fair. Industrial experts and business insiders will discuss how such enterprises can develop in overseas markets. Meorient International Exhibition will be invited to introduce the convention sector’s strategy.

Themed on “Connecting the world, interconnecting health”, the international medical services sector at the fair will discuss topics such as internet medical services, medical insurance, health management and community medical services. About 100 exhibition stands from more than 20 countries and regions will be on display at the fair.

Wang Shuping, from the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the host of the international medical and health services sector, said at the launch ceremony that the sector will promote the international exchange and development of medical and health services.

The sector’s trade volume is expected to hit 1 billion yuan ($163.9 million), according to insiders.

Some leading healthcare companies including Ciming will take part in the event including Jijiankang, or literally meaning “memorizing health conditions”.

Abraham KC Ho, chief medical officer, Beijing Ciji Network Technology Co Ltd, an arm of the Ciming Group, told China Daily that he expects the fair to showcase Jijiankang, an interactive APP that keeps track of the user's health data and provides professional advice and personalized health management services.

Another hot sector at this year’s Beijing Fair will be the design services sector. Hosted by Dragon Design Foundation, the sector will focus on the idea of green and environment friendly designs. Project information relating to green agricultural technologies, the uses of new energies and food processing will also be released at the exhibition, according to the organizers.

Some well-known domestic design and creative parks, such as the Hui Culture Industry Park and the Design Resource Cooperation in Beijing will also be invited to showcase their achievements and introduce their services and preferential policies for design businesses.

Enterprises and service providers from the language translation sector will also be at the fair. On May 31, the language translation services sector will hold a conference at the fair to discuss how language and translation services can benefit from the continuing success of the Belt and Road and Initiative. The use of artificial intelligence and speech recognition in the translation sector will also be discussed.
