Guangqi Fiat Chrysler to recall Freemont due to engine problems

Guangqi Fiat Chrysler announce that from Oct 31 it will recall 5,325 units of the imported 2012-2014 editions of the Fiat Freemont that were produced from Oct 25, 2011, to April 25, 2014.

A malfunction of several engine parts is the reason for the recall. The company promises to check and upgrade the engine parts and will not sell its stock of the flawed editions.

Chrysler China also announced from Oct 31 that it will recall the 2011-2015 editions of the Dodge Journey manufactured between July 19, 2010, and May 26, 2015.

A total of 58,643 units will be recalled because of similar engine problems as the Fiat Freemont.

Faulty connection in battery cable forces major Bentley recall

VW China announced that from Oct 27, it will recall 5,906 units of its imported 2012-2014 editions of the Bentley Continental and Flying Spur in China, the brand's second-biggest market.

The models were manufactured between Feb 5, 2011, and May 5, 2014.

The move was part of Bentley's recall of 27,640 cars globally because of potentially faulty battery cable joint connections.

The company said it will contact the owners and arrange repairs. The number of recalled vehicles more than doubled Bentley's record of 11,020 deliveries last year, a Bentley spokesman said.

Italian carmaker Lamborghini wraps up China Giro driving event in Beijing

The last leg of Lamborghini's China Giro set out from Beijing on Saturday, commencing the two-day "Drive Through Mood" portion of the tour.

Continuing on from stops in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Chengdu, the Beijing leg of the tour passed by some of the city's most well-known landmarks, then headed to the twisty roads north of the city to enjoy the thrilling and exclusive driving experience offered by Lamborghini.

"Lamborghini has had a fruitful 10 years in China, seeing the market growing and maturing to its current state - now a key global market for us," said Francesco Scardaoni, managing director of Automobili Lamborghini China, at the event in Beijing.

The second day of driving included an incense experience.

Attendees sampled a number of fragrances that set the mood for the afternoon's activities.

Guests then made a final stop at the Baili Landscape Painting Gallery before making their way back to Beijing for the conclusion of China Giro.

The company has made a significant number of achievements in China over the last 10 years, delivering over 1,400 cars to satisfied customers and setting new standards for the super-sports car market.
