Dongsheng Science Park, an industrial park which focuses largely on mobile Internet and renewable energy industries, is looking to transform itself into a high-end boutique park and act as a pioneer in leading domestic enterprises to embrace science and technology.

The park, a unit of Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing, welcomed more than 100 guests from science parks around the world as they discussed strategies for operation and services on Tuesday.

Chen Bin, general manager of the Dongsheng Science Park, gave a presentation of the science park in terms of business performance, achievements and vision for the future at the conference themed "Connecting Dongsheng with the World".

"The science park is owned by farmers from Dongsheng and they also share its income. The overall construction of the park will be finished by 2017, and when complete it will have a total area of 3 million square meters," Chen said.

Visitors also toured the Zhongguancun One-stop Service Center, Territory Harbor and the Dream Home, a smart agriculture exhibition center.

The Zhongguancun One-stop Service Center is composed of three units: property services, government affairs services and incubation services.

The property service is responsible for matters related to land development, construction and maintenance of facilities. In the government affairs service division, governmental staff are often invited to come and discuss problems with regard to the latest policies.

When it comes to the incubation services, companies are offered basic services such as financial issues, talent recruitment, investment choices and park promotion.

In addition, it also carries out evaluation of technological capability and product performance and helps enterprises find partners.

Territory Harbor, a working space for startups or early-stage companies, is translated as "Taili" in Chinese, which means a stable and profitable place for people to conduct businesses, just like a harbor for a boat. The harbor provides free investment support from angel investors' venture capital, while entrepreneurs present their business plans in order to raise money from potential investors.

An information island has been set up in the resting area of the Territory Harbor. People can stick a postcard on the glass wall and write anything they want like exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, finding market opportunities and attracting potential buyers.

Established in 2013, Dream Home has witnessed several achievements in innovative agriculture science technology with 141 types of plants covering 3,500 square meters.
