After two years' effort, the Smart Zhongguancun Geographic Information Service Platform has recently been completed.
In order to best realize the supporting effect from the modern information technology, the mobile Internet, cloud computing, and big data, the Zhongguancun Science Park launches an ecological system to push forward innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Zhongguancun Administrative Commission initiated the Platform in 2013 with the help from the Beijing government. As an important part of the Smart Zhongguancun Project, the platform was developed by the Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping and the Beijing Super Map Software Corporation.
Zhongguancun Science Park originated from Zhongguancun Street in the 1980s. Now the science park takes up 488 square kilometers, with 16 sub parks, filled with large numbers of innovative and entrepreneurship resources. Corporations usually spend a long time in searching for suitable office spaces and services, which slows development.
The platform includes more than 30 categories of resources and information. It integrates the "Internet plus" idea with advanced technologies such as big data and virtual reality to provide resources and smart decisions. Through the platform, users can receive convenient and smart analysis, and businesses can access service resources faster and more accurately.
Eight application systems were constructed based on the platform, dedicated to areas such as geographic information, land utilization, industrial spatial analysis, innovative resources analysis, institution inquiring, and technological finance resources inquiring and financial inquiries. The systems help monitor business development as well as comprehensive comments on the smart analysis and innovative improve the abilities of emerging industries.
The science park also has two systems – the Zhongguancun Entrepreneurship Map and Zhongguancun Virtual Exhibition Center - to serve corporations and the public.
