World renowned hotels, hotel professionals, and governmental officials took part in a grand meeting held by the World Hotel Association (WHA), in Beijing, from July 17-18, to discuss the industry's development and future.
The meeting had more than 20 experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs in the industry on a theme of competition and integration of world hotel development.
During the meeting there was a World Hotel Forum where participants discussed industry's development; the past and future integration of culture and hotels, and investment in tourist sites and theme hotels.
The meeting also presented the 7th World Hotel Continental Diamond Award to 37 individuals, 34 hotels and 13 enterprises involved in hotel investment and management, related enterprises and design institutions.
The World Hotel Association, as China's first platform providing services for hotels headquartered in Shanghai, has held the WHA Conference four times. It now has some influential brands, including the World Hotel magazine, the World Hotel website, the World Hotel Forum, and the World Hotel Continental Diamond Award.
