The administrative committee of Beijing High-end Manufacture Industrial Base in Fangshan district and Zhongguancun Development Group signed a cooperation agreement to boost the growth of Fangshan Science Park on Feb 15.
The two sides agreed to cooperate on a scientific research innovation project which covers an area of 260,000 square meters. Officials and business leaders took part in the signing ceremony.
In 2013, the Beijing High-end Manufacture Industrial Base began to build an institute for Zhongguancun emerging industry and frontier technology.
To enhance the influence of the institute, Fangshan district government and Zhongguancun Development Group determined a cooperation model and set up a working team in August, 2014.

Yu Jun, president of Zhongguancun Development Group, expressed his well-wishes for the project during the signing ceremony.
He said the group will grasp opportunities and apply successful experience of Zhongguancun Life Science Park to setting up the institute.
Guo Hong, director of the Zhonggguancun Administrative Committee, extended thanks to government officials in Fangshan district for their support for science and technology innovation in Zhongguancun.
Zhongguancun is the main force to help Beijing build the technological innovation center in China. It has made great contributions to the capital in economic restructuring.
The cooperation agreement on building the institute has set a good example for innovation development, Guo said.
He also hoped that the Fangshan district, Zhongguancun Administrative Committee and Zhonggauncun Development Group can make joint efforts to turn Fangshan Park into an innovation highland in southern Beijing.
