Last minute dating guide for Valentine's Day

Roses, chocolate and sweets are popular Valentine's Day gifts, and a romantic dinner always seems to be the best way to spend the evening. Treat your loved one and yourself to a special dinner at a slightly different venue than the ones you often visit, perhaps a sophisticated hotel, and you will find it easier to impress.

If you have not made plans for the evening, this last minute guide may help you to make a decision without starting from the scratch.

Aria, China World Hotel, Beijing

China World Hotel, Beijing, houses some of the city's finest restaurants. Its award-winning Aria Bar and Grill combines cozy seating, good service and Mediterranean-style European and fusion-style cuisine. The restaurant offers one-on-one consultation with its head chef for the upcoming Valentine's Day dinner. Chef Phillip Taylor will walk customers through the steps of customizing a very personal Valentine's Day menu. Dinner is 1,520 yuan ($243) per couple and includes two welcome cocktails. Call 010 - 6505 2266 ext. 36 for reservations.
