Beijing’s Yanqing county staged a group of activities in a local community residence, to support Beijing’s bid for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, on Oct 22.
It was part of the county’s promotional campaign to call for more participation in the bidding from people, as well as to enrich their lives with various cultural activities.
The county will organize more activities to publicize the Winter Olympic Games and promote sportsmanship among people.
According to the bidding plan, Yanqing county will be home to a venue cluster, which will host such sports as bobsleigh, luge, and alpine skiing in the county's mountainous area.
