Officials from Baoding city government recently visited Zhongguancun's Fengtai Park and had a discussion on their joint project of building an industrial park in the city, Beijing Daily reported on Oct 10.
A total of 14 projects, including construction of the park, were signed at a ceremony held in Baoding city, North China's Hebei province last month.
To follow the integrated development strategy of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Fengtai Park will choose a place with solid industrial foundations, complete support facilities and a good ecological environment to settle the joint park. It will be developed into a demonstration area for industrial cooperation between Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province.
The industrial park will cover rail transportation, high-end equipment manufacturing, bio pharmaceuticals and other industries.
Fengtai Park will give full play to its advantages such as personnel, technology, innovation and branding, and make full use of its experience to help Baoding build the park.
The two sides will explore a new mode of construction and management together. They will jointly make development plans, introduce partners for large strategic investment and create a regional cooperation brand.
This is the first time for Fengtai Park to build a park outside Beijing since it was established over 20 years ago.
