Stephon Marbury, male, born in 1977, is a former NBA star currently playing for the Beijing Ducks basketball team.
The former New Yorker has led the Beijing Ducks to two Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) championship titles since joining the team in the 2011-2012 season. He was granted "honorary citizenship of Beijing" on April 2, 2014.
The 37-year-old also takes part in various charitable events, visiting and encouraging a girl who suffers from leukemia, donating sports goods to schools in rural areas of Anhui and Yunnan provinces, and participating in the Chevrolet Red Chalk Program to offer pupils basketball-training classes in Yunnan.
In July 2012, Marbury held a charitable banquet in Beijing to help the Next Generation Foundation to raise money to support the education of underprivileged children. He said that Beijing is always his home and he will try his best to spread love to more people who need it.
