The official website for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Bid Committee was launched on July 31.
It is an important gateway to Beijing, host of the 2008 Summer Games, and Zhangjiakou, a city in Beijing's neighboring Hebei Province.
If the bid is successful, Beijing and Zhangjiakou will co-host the Games. Beijing would stage the ice events while Zhangjiakou would hold the snow sports.
The website will also serve as a platform for organizing various activities to encourage netizens to participate in the capital city's bidding process, such as soliciting slogans, songs, posters and photographs from netizens.
Users are encouraged to offer their advice and proposals for the bid efforts via the website.
Beijing, together with Oslo in Norway and Almaty in Kazakhstan, remains in the running for the Games, as was announced by the IOC Executive Board on July 7.
