Seafood lovers will enjoy themselves at Xanadu, a teppanyaki restaurant in Beijing. All seafood dishes not only taste fresh but are reasonably priced. A 288-yuan ($47) per head set menu has more than 10 different dishes. Start with a bowl of salad, sashimi and roast prawn, then a teppanyaki. Chef prepares fresh scallop, scampi, beef tongue, T-bone steak, cod, beef steak, vegetables and egg fried rice on the spot. The set menu includes sake and a pot of Matsutake soup. The restaurant also offers unlimited amounts of prawns. The restaurant has recently been renovated. There are only private rooms for groups. A sushi and sashimi bar allows diners to watch their food being made. Finish your meal with a sesame paste-flavored ice cream. Other set menus are priced at 388 yuan ($63) and 588 yuan per head and feature more high-end seafood such as lobster.
