An institute for self-employment was set up in Fengtai Park, a subpark of Zhongguancun Science Park, Science and Technology Daily reported on Monday.
The institute is the first of its kind in Beijing. It has a hub for each of four kinds of entrepreneurs: overseas students, Chinese students, laborers and veterans.
Within the park, entrepreneurs benefit from special business policies and free office space. They also enjoy practical training and guidance from the park's expert consultants.
The institute will serve as a platform for the integration of Zhongguancun Science Park's resources with entrepreneurship, not to mention a collaborative hub of like-minded entrepreneurs.
