2014 International Tea Fair kicks off in Beijing

This year’s International Tea Fair, which attracted exhibitors from all over the world, welcomed its first group of visitors on June 19 in Beijing.

Some 300 enterprises from more than 10 countries and regions, such as India, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Italy, and Vietnam, brought their best plantings and tea wares to the event.

Most of these companies brought their own major products, such as Xinyang Maojian, a green tea from Central China’s Henan province, and Xinyanghong, a red tea from Henan, hoping to promote their new products and corporate branding at the fair.

The tea companies from Beijing’s Xicheng district plan to cooperate with their counterparts from Tianjin and Hebei province to build a tea culture center.
