The Zhongguancun Museums and Artworks Trade Alliance was launched on May 15 at the library of Renmin University of China in Beijing, with the participation of 29 museums and artwork transaction centers and organizations.
At the launch ceremony, the members of the alliance approved a statute and voted for the presidential group and its general secretary. The alliance also released a draft plan for its operation for 2014.
The alliance will provide services for all member parties to explore an innovative win-win development for both the museums and the trade in artworks, aiming at integrating the resources of museums in the city’s Zhongguancun area through promotions, exhibitions and transactions.
Chen Mingjie, director of the publicity department of the CPC Haidian district committee attended the event.
