Zhongguancun enterprises filed 101,000 patent applications by the end of 2013, a 34.2 percent increase year-on-year, accounting for 30.6 percent of the total applications in Beijing, according to the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, Beijing Daily reported on Monday.
Meanwhile, the enterprises’ patent quality and technical ability are also improving. A total of eight patents from Zhongguancun enterprises were awarded the top prize of Chinese patents during past two years. In addition, the volume of technology deals in Zhongguancun accounted for 40 percent of the country last year.
Among all of Zhongguancun’s enterprises， BOE Technology Group Co, a science-and-technology enterprise in the science park, gave a strong performance. The amount of its patent application and authorization exceeded 1,000 and its net profit jumped 811 percent.
