A press conference for the “Summit on the Beauty of Film”--an important forum of the upcoming Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF)--took place at the China National Film Museum (CNFM) on April 10, yule.sohu.com reported on Friday.

The forum itself, with the theme of “the Art and Technique of Animated Film”, will be held at the CNFM on April 22. It will exhibit and disseminate the artistic charm as well as the production techniques of animated films.

Frozen producer Peter Del Vecho; British director Peter Lord; The Lion King director Rob Minkoff; and Carlos Saldanha, renowned Brazilian director of animated films, will attend the forum.

In addition, audiences will get access to 27 classic animated films for free at the video hall of the CNFM from April 15 to 24, including The Monkey King, Lotus Lantern, Tangled and Wall-E.

Meanwhile, an exhibition of animated movies will also be held at the museum from April 14 to 27. Celebrated films such as Toy Story, Up, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan and The Lion King will be shown during the two-week exhibition.

Zhao Zhiyong, deputy secretary-general of the BJIFF Organizing Committee; Chen Zhiqiang, Party secretary of the CNFM; and Stanley Cheung, executive vice president and managing director of Walt Disney Greater China attended the press conference.
