Stricter regulations set to ban smoking

New regulations on tobacco control, which are expected to take effect in the first half of 2015, will prohibit smoking in all indoor public places and punish violators, Legal Daily reported. The draft of the regulations also plans to close all the smoking rooms at airports. Currently, people who smoke in non-smoking areas face fines of 10 yuan ($1.60). Under the new regulations, the fines range from 50 to 200 yuan.
