Plans to establish the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Free Trade Area will be released soon, according to a report by China Securities Daily.

There are strategies regarding plans for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei FTA. One is to integrate the Tianjin FTA with the Hebei FTA, to make the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area an integral whole. Each part would play a different role in the FTA.

Experts say that the main battlefield might be Jingtang Port and Caofeidian in Hebei province, both of which are expected to generate abundant dividends resulting from preferential policies. For example, second-stage construction in Shougang is expected to begin, and some SOEs worth more than hundreds of millions of yuan are expected to set up shop there.

Jintang Port and Caofeidian are being planned as logistics centers in areas around the Bohai Sea, while Tianjin would focus on providing finance leasing services to the real economy.
