Chinese flutist Zhang Weiliang intends to take traditional Chinese instruments into new territory. In the upcoming concert, The New Age of Zhang Weiliang's Folk Music, the 56-year-old musician will review his two-year interpretation of traditional wind instruments, such as the flute, xiao and xun, with innovations borrowed from New Age music. French artist Fabien Iliou and Italian light designer Valerio Tiberi team up to deliver a visual feast to accompany the music.
