China National Philatelic Co released a special stamp collection album on Nov 16 at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Chairman Mao Zedong (1893-1976).

The stamp album includes five sheets of stamps, seven customized stamps of Mao’s standard portraits, 10 customized stamps of Mao’s classic images, one customized stamp of oil painting The Founding Ceremony of China, one special commemorative envelope and 10 commemorative envelopes.

Planned by Mao’s grandson Mao Xinyu, the album was referenced from renowned oil paintings by Chinese painters such as Jin Shangyi and Dong Xiwen, as well as Mao’s poems and handwriting.

The designer is Central Academy of Fine Arts Professor Ma Gang, who also designed the commemorative stamp album for Mao’s 110th birthday.

The album is available at philatelic counters and stores nationwide.
