Online voting for the "Five-Year Review – Beijing in the Eyes of Foreigners" photo contest – organized jointly by the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal Government and other organizations – will be held in September 2013.
Since 2009, the photo contest's themes have included: "Beijing in the Eyes of Foreigners,""The People's Beijing in the Eyes of Foreign Friends,""Green Beijing in the Eyes of Foreign Friends,""Beijing Spirit in the Eyes of Foreign Friends" and"Beautiful Beijing in the Eyes of Foreign Friends." The competition has also invited almost 1,000 foreigners in Beijing to take photos of the city. The activity has collected almost 10,000 excellent photos from foreigners all over the world over the past years. The contest hopes to reflect the diverse beauty of the city and encourage foreign friends in Beijing to learn more about the city, thus contributing to friendly exchange.
The photo contest organizing committee will carry out the "Five-Year Review – Beijing in the Eyes of Foreigners" photo contest and online voting activity from September to November 2013. The activity is held in conjunction with eBeijing website, run by Beijing Foreign Affairs Bureau . The photos reflect the beauty of new Beijing, promote the spirit of Beijing, and present the love of Beijing from foreign friends. The photos competing in the online voting were selected from the photo contest. The online voting starts from September and lasts until November. Internet users and photography enthusiasts can enter the relevant thematic areas to participate on the eBeijing website www.ebeijing.gov.cn (English) and the Beijing Foreign Affairs website wwww.bjfao.gov.cn (Chinese).
