Prices of vegetables rise in Beijing

Several workers were trimming the blanched garlic leaves at Beijing Xinfadi wholesale market of farm products.According to the statistics revealed on Jan 9 by Ministry of Commerce, during week from Dec.31, 2012 to Jan 6, 2013 in the 36 big and middle sized cities in China, the prices of edible farm products continue to rise, of which the average wholesale prices of 18 vegetables rise by 7.1 percent.
