The Beijing Tourism Administration has just held an opening ceremony for a tourism promotion at Universal Studios, in Hollywood, the mega-movie studio center in Los Angeles, California that attracts millions of visitors every year.
The ceremony, on Jan 4, provided an unusual chance to debut various Beijing tourism resources, both artistic performances, products, and places, each with their own unique features, such as the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and Temple of Heaven.
There were also eight craftsmen from Beijing on hand to demonstrate their traditional handicraft skills in paper cuttings, clay figurines, and Beijing opera painted masks.
In a related activity, Beijing signed a memorandum with the city of Los Angeles tourism authorities to cooperate in promoting tourism in more areas.
