Taiwan playwright and theater director Stan Lai is bringing his classic work The Village to Beijing again.
It's the story of three veteran soldiers' families in a village of Taiwan, where the first generation moved in and later generations moved out to pursue new lives. Since its debut in 2008 in Taiwan, the production, with several performers from the local villages, has received acclaim both in Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
