Guo's Cuisine Restaurant reopened with crosstalk an added bonus

Located on the first floor of Deyunshe, to the west of Sanlitun’s SOHO - which is a famous fashion area in Beijing, Guo’s Cuisine Restaurant was set up by the well-known crosstalk performer Guo Degang, with a local classic cuisine as its basis. The restaurant, after redecoration, opened in March, highlighting characteristics of crosstalk culture (a traditional Chinese art form).

Guo Degang used to say: “Most crosstalk performers regard eating as one of their hobbies, and they would like to spend more time studying it.” Over a long-period, appreciating the profound culture of a traditional diet, he conceived the idea of opening up a restaurant which is now Guo’s Cuisine Restaurant.

Chinese style decorations are featured in the hall, where Chinese traditional crafts and images relevant to crosstalk can be found. Meanwhile, as they dine, guests can enjoy such activities as games of go, bird-watching, cricket fighting or crosstalk, as if they have gone back in time to the old restaurants in Beijing’s Hutongs. The design of this traditional Chinese restaurant is both classic and in vogue with a specific subject. Guo’s Cuisine Restaurant can accommodate 100 guests simultaneously, and is equipped with a stage where crosstalk performances will be held regularly.

Address: No. 4, East Stadium Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing.
