Chinese mainland reports 8 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

BEIJING -- Chinese health authority said Sunday that it received reports of eight new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland Saturday, of which two were domestically transmitted.

The domestically transmitted cases were reported in Beijing, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

One new suspected case from abroad was reported in Shanghai, and no deaths related to the disease were reported Saturday, according to the commission.
