Effective antiviral therapies

Liu Zhengwen, a professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases at First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, introduced effective antiviral therapies on May 14.

He said they have tried many antiviral drugs including Favipiravir, TNF-alpha, Remdesivir and Lopinavir in China. Recently, a trial in Hong Kong where medics used a combination of lopinavir/ ritonavir, ribavirin and interferon beta-1b has shown that the combination of these drugs suppresses the viral load, expedites recovery and reduces mortality in patients.
