Can patients get reinfected after recovery?

Chinese respiratory doctors, who served on the front lines fighting against COVID-19, shared their experience with overseas experts via a conference call on March 19.

During the call, some foreign experts were interested in whether patients can get reinfected after recovering from the coronavirus. A Chinese respiratory doctor said those who were "reinfected" were most likely a result of a false negative in their PCR test when they first recovered.
