UFH doctors share clinical experience with Indonesia counterparts
Doctors from United Family Healthcare (UFH), an international company with a network of hospitals and clinics in China, on Sunday shared its clinical treatment experiences with their counterparts in Indonesia, where the COVID-19 outbreak has been escalating.
During the three-hour video conference, three UFH doctors specializing in the fields of infection control, internal medicine and radiology spoke to more than 500 frontline healthcare workers in Indonesia and answered their queries.
The topics that were discussed included case treatment, medication and details of infection control within the hospital, such as disinfection approaches and guidelines for the use of personal protective equipment.
In response to the viral outbreak, the Indonesian capital of Jakarta declared a state of emergency on March 20. The country's official data on Wednesday showed that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases had climbed to 790, with 58 deaths.
Several doctors who participated in the online conference in Indonesia said that learning from their Chinese peers will be critical to helping them better treat clinical cases and improve their safety measures.
