One of 10 female directors chosen by Yunnan New Film Project, Yin Lichuan joins the 16th Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film Festival with her debut film, "The Park."
Yin will be competing for New Female Director, which recognizes young directors making their first foray into film.
Yunnan Province’s culture department started the Yunnan New Film Project. It invites talented female directors all over China to come to Yunnan to shoot 10 movies.
"The Park" is the second film in the project and has already been screened at some international film festivals, like the Moscow International Film Festival.
Wang Fen directed the first movie, "The Case". It was awarded Best Film at The Students Film Festival and Favorite Asian Film at Shanghai International Film Festival.
