The total investment of Shenyang Olympic Center is 1.97 billion yuan. The center covers a land area of 430 000 sq.m and has a total floor area of 260 000 sq. m. Consisting of "one stadium and three halls", namely, one stadium capable of holding 60000 persons, one comprehensive stadium capable of holding 10000 persons, one swimming hall capable of holding 4000 persons and one tennis hall capable of holding 4000 persons. When the project is built, it will become the football contest sites of Beijing Games.

The floor area of the main stadium which is composed of two parts is 140 000 sq. m. The stand adopts a reinforced concrete structure and the roof an arc-shaped steel structure. The arc-shaped roof is composed of six pieces of steel structures, with three at the west and east part respectively. The main stadium looks like a crystal crown on the hand of Nike and three indoor halls at the west and east just like the wings of the Nike.

The honeycomb aluminum plate roof in the charge of the Broad Group is at the east and west side of the stadium. There are three pieces with an area of above 40000 sq. m on both sides and the aluminum plate roof is the most important part of the stadium. In order to realize the spatial curved surface, Broad Group adopts a structural system of multi-layer benchmark shape making and fitting spatial curved surface. Fixed position and fixed distance installation structure is adopted in honeycomb aluminum plate installation. To give full play to the artistic effect of the fitting plane plate with curved plate, three-level adaptation and 3D multi-liberty adjustment system is adopted to finally realize the spatial curved space.

Broad Group is experienced in construction and installation and its installation technology is rather mature. It has adopted a rather systematic installation process for a roof of different forms. With the development of the curtain wall industry, the constant appearance of advanced processes, advanced technologies and patent technologies, Broad Group can timely grasp the dynamics of the industry and introduce advanced process and technologies in their construction work. The patent "unit curtain wall adaptation device" technology which they obtained the patent for in October 2001 has solved the problem of fitting plane plate with carved surface plate. The device has 3D adjustment function and can meet various position change requirements of unit curtain wall. The highlight for applying the patent technology in this project is the flexible 3D multi-liberty adjustment function.

Advanced imported equipment and new processes are adopted in the adaptation system of the project. In recent years, Broad Group has invested a large amount to introduce advanced processing equipment from abroad to form an aluminum material cutting and processing line, plate material cutting and processing line, faulting heat aluminum material assembling line, back-tied type stone material boring and processing line and unit curtain wall processing and assembling line and door and window processing and assembling line. It has introduced more than 600 sets of imported equipment, 202 of which are computer-controlled or numerical-control equipment, greatly supporting the material processing for the projects.
