Death toll rises to 8,805 in Japan quake

TOKYO -- The National Police Agency said Monday that the twin disasters of the catastrophic March 11 earthquake and ensuing tsunami have left 8,805 people dead and 12, 654 others unaccounted for in Japan by 9:00 pm(1200 GMT).
