BEIJING - China's tourism authorities said Wednesday that no casualties had been reported among the 1,138 tourists stuck in quake-stricken Japan as of 12 pm Wednesday Beijing Time.
Local tourism authorities in the country's 10 provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing, confirmed no one among their 45 tourist groups had been injured or killed, said the National Tourism Administration (NTA).
The NTA asked Chinese citizens to think carefully before travelling to Japan and warned Chinese tourists in Japan about aftershocks.
