11 injured in Fukushima No 3 reactor nuke blast

TOKYO - Eleven people were injured in the hydrogen explosion at the No 3 reactor of Fukushima No 1 nuclear power plant Monday, said the Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPOC).

Separately, sources from the defense ministry said that one Self-Defense Forces (SDF) officer suffered a bone fracture in the blast.

The container of the reactor remained intact following the explosion, said the TEPOC.
